How to provide 100 points of identification?

To confirm your identification we may request 100 points of ID. Please refer to the list below to see what documents equal 100 points.

Primary documents

70 Points

Only one of the following may be claimed:

  • Birth certificate
  • Birth card issued by a Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages
  • Citizenship certificate
  • Current passport
  • Expired passport which has not been cancelled and was current within the preceding 2 years


Secondary documents

40 Points

  • Driver licence issued by an Australian State or Territory
  • Licence or permit issued under a law of the Commonwealth, a State or Territory government – (e.g. a boat licence)
  • Identification card issued to a public employee
  • Identification card issued by the Commonwealth, a State or Territory government as evidence of the person’s entitlement to a financial benefit
  • An identification card issued to a student at a tertiary education institution


35 Points

  • Name and address of signatory verified from any of the following:
    • A document held by the cash dealer giving security over the signatory’s property
    • A mortgage or other instrument of security held by another financial body
  • Must have name and address on:
    • A document held by a cash dealer giving security over your property
    • A mortgage or other instrument of security held by a financial body
    • Local government (council) land tax or rates notice
    • Document from your current employer or previous employer within the last 2 years
    • Land Titles Office record
    • Document from the Credit Reference Association of Australia


25 Points

  • Must have name and signature on:
    • Marriage certificate (for maiden name only)
    • Credit card
    • Foreign driver licence
    • Medicare card (signature not required on Medicare card)
    • Membership to a registered club
    • NRMA membership
    • EFTPOS card
  • Must have name and address on:
    • Electoral roll compiled by the Australian Electoral Commission and available for public scrutiny
    • Records of a public utility – phone, water, gas or electricity bill
    • Records of a financial institution
    • A record held under a law other than a law relating to land titles
    • Lease/rent agreement
    • Rent receipt from a licensed real estate agent
  • Must have name and date of birth on:
    • Record of a primary, secondary or tertiary educational institution attended by the applicant within the last 10 years
    • Record of professional or trade association of which the applicant is a member


Can I refinance existing loans with Credit24?

If you are using any part of a Credit24 loan to pay off existing loan(s)/debts (including combining these into a single loan), it is important to read the Debt Consolidation Considerations section in our Credit Guide.

What are Credit24’s fees and charges?

For Small Loans $2,000 or under

  • an establishment fee of 20% of the loan amount given to you
  • a monthly service fee that is 4% of the loan amount given to you
  • a late fee: a charge of $7 per week and capped at $28.00 (per month if you have missed a payment)


For Medium Loans $2,001 to $5,000

  • an establishment fee of up to $400
  • 48% interest p.a.
  • a late fee: a charge of $7 per week and capped at $28.00 (per month if you have missed a payment)


For Personal Loans $5,001 to $10,000

  • an establishment fee of up to $0
  • 48% interest p.a.
  • a late fee: a charge of $7 per week and capped at $28.00 (per month if you have missed a payment)

How can I send my Bank Statement?

In order to finalise your loan application, we are required by law to review your bank statement covering the last 90 days. This can be done automatically through a secure Credit Sense link that will be sent to you during the welcoming phone call after you submit your loan application. We highly recommend using this tool, as it will fast track the process.
During this process your bank login details are not stored. However, this process will save your time of printing and scanning bank statements to us. Credit Sense is a 100% Australian owned and operated company and subject to and compliant with all Australian laws.

Note: Alternatively, you may also send your 90 days bank statement with your full name, address and account details to our e-mail Please  allow up to 7 working days for manual bank statement processing.

Can I cancel my Credit24 loan application?

You can cancel your application anytime prior to the funds being transferred. If you want to cancel your Credit24 loan application, please call us on: 1800 091 967 or email us at

When will I receive the funds?

If your loan is approved before 3pm during weekday business hours, you could receive the funds the same day. Loans approved after this time should transfer the next working day.

Can I apply for a loan outside business hours?

You can submit your loan application outside business hours. However, your loan application will be processed from 8am – 8pm weekdays, and 9am-5pm on weekends (AEST).

Can I enter a PO Box as my address?

Our application process requires your residential address for identification purposes, A PO Box will not be accepted.

We will communicate with you by phone, SMS or email, not by sending letters to your home address.

Will Credit24 check my credit file?

Yes, Credit24 conducts a credit check on all applications and it will show as an enquiry on your credit file. If you think you might have unpaid defaults that would stop your application from being successful, you can obtain a free copy of your file from

Can I apply for Credit24 loan if I'm Self Employed?

Yes, you can. We will ask for your latest Tax Notice of Assessment to prove your income if your application is successful.

Can I apply for a Credit24 loan on Centrelink benefits or if I am unemployed?

Your Centrelink payments are classed as part of your income as long as it is not 50% or more of your total income and will be considered, along with other factors, during your Credit24 loan application.

For Example: If your Centrelink payments are $1,000 per month and your salary is $700 per month you are not eligible for a Credit24 loan.

However, if your Centrelink payments are $500 per month and salary $1,000 per month – you are eligible to apply for a Credit24 loan.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer you a loan if your sole income is Centrelink or if you are unemployed.

How much can I Borrow?

Credit24 offers personal loans from $500 up to $10,000 with repayments terms from 6 months up to 36 months, dependent upon loan amount. If you are a Permanent Resident aged 18 or over, you are welcome to apply.

The information you give during your application will be assessed and you will be given an instant decision on how much is available to you. If you do not want to take the full amount, you can choose a smaller loan amount. And, if you find the lower amount isn’t enough let us know and we can check if the larger amount is still available to you.

How do I apply for a Credit24 loan?

Applying for a Credit24 personal loan is convenient and easy. We are online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Enjoy the freedom to choose when and where you apply online.

You can select how much you want to borrow and for how long then see exactly what your monthly repayments will be using our loan and fee calculator at There are no hidden charges.

Once you are happy with your loan choice, click apply now and you will be directed to the remainder of the application. You will receive a decision once the application is complete. If your application is conditionally approved, we may be in touch to get some more details from you.

During your application, we will ask you for a copy of your last three months of bank statements that you can easily send securely using Credit Sense. Once we have all of your information, we can give you a decision on your application. In most cases we have everything we need once you have submitted your application, however if we need to check anything, we will call you on your mobile, so make sure you keep it handy!

It can take up to 48 hours to be processed, after which you should receive a text and an email with the appropriate response. If approved, you should receive the funds within one business day.

Can I apply for a loan?

To be eligible for a Credit24 loan you must:

  • Be a Permanent Resident
  • Be aged 18 years or over
  • Be employed and be paid into your bank account
  • Have a reasonable credit history
  • Earn at least $600 in a month


To complete the application process, you will need to provide us with the following additional information:

  • Your mobile phone number and email address
  • Your driver’s license details and in some cases your Medicare Card or passport number may be required
  • Your last three months of issued bank statements retrieved through our secure bank data portal Credit Sense.

Can I change my password?

You can change your password online at

This will bring you to the self-service page, you can select “change your password” located on the left hand side of the screen under your address. You will be prompted to enter you current password and the new password. Please note that passwords must be at least 6 characters and contain both letters and numbers.

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it from the login screen.

  • select the forgotten password link
  • enter your driver’s licence and mobile phone number (a PIN will be sent to your mobile)
  • enter the PIN into the field as prompted

You will be asked to enter a new password and to confirm the new password, use this going forward when accessing the self service section of the Credit24 website

Is it possible to change or extend the due date of my repayments?

Repayment dates can only be amended if:

  • your Credit24 repayment dates do not match your salary dates
  • you face financial hardship, approved by Credit24 identification procedure

What are my options if I don't have the money for the monthly repayment?

If you are finding it difficult to make repayments due to unforeseen circumstances including unemployment, illness, over commitment to credit, natural disaster, etc. You can apply for hardship assistance by filling out our hardship application form. Our Hardship Team will assist your needs after reviewing your hardship application and proof documents.

If you have any issues with your payment plan not matching your salary dates, please contact us via email at and confirm:

We can amend your repayment contract to match these details.

Please note:

  • Credit24 repayments can only be changed to match your salary date.
  • changes cannot be applied for a single repayment but for the repayment plan as a whole.
  • it will take up to 48 working hours for your repayments to be updated
Why has my payment been debited from my bank account, but does not appear on my Credit24 account?

It takes 48 hours for your repayment status to be updated on your Credit24 account. If your repayment has not been updated more than two business days after your payment, contact our customer service team by email: or call us on: 1800 954 481.

How do I check my Credit24 loan balance and how can I pay it out early?

To check your loan balance or pay out your loan earlier than agreed, please call us on 1800 954 481 with the date (DD/MM/YYY) that you would like to payout your loan.

Please note:

  • There are 3 options for making payment – direct debit will be set up on next business day at earliest, you can make over the phone with our team or a direct bank transfer into our nominated bank account
  • Your payout figure can be sent to you via email or sms
What if I breach/dishonor the Credit24 Loan Agreement?

Credit24 customers who fail to make a payment in 45 days time from the loan repayment due date will incur costs amounting up to 50% of the outstanding loan amount should this loan be transferred to our debt collection agent. These costs will be payable by the Credit24 customer to our collection agent and represent the reasonable expenses that we reasonably incur in enforcing our loan agreement.

Can I request changes to my payment plan?

Yes, you can certainly do so by contacting our accounts team at It will take up to 48 working hours for the payment plan to be updated.

Can I view the Credit24 Privacy Policy?

Yes. As we believe in being transparent, all our policies are available on our website and can be accessed here.

How do I stop receiving marketing emails?

You can opt out of our marketing communications at any stage, simply select the “unsubscribe” option at the bottom of a Credit24 email, and we will remove you from special offers or announcement emails.

If you think you have received something that looks suspicious, please call us on 1800 091 976. Remember, we will never ask you to log into your account directly from an email, always type into your browser.

How many Credit24 loans can I have at one time?

Credit24 customers may have only one active loan at any given time. As soon as your existing Credit24 loan is paid out, you are eligible to re-apply on the Credit24 website using the login section.

You have the option to pay out your loan early with no early repayment penalty or charges. Once the funds are received, you are eligible to apply for another Credit24 loan straight away.
